Same market is a pleasant place to visit. Sunday is traditionally the most important market day in Same. On that day you can see the most diverse articles being sold.

Any other day women sell a variety of fruits and vegetables from the Pare Mountains.Try the sweet watermelon and pawpaw (papai), which are cultivated near Pangani River. Stroll around Same and you will find many tailors selling colorful Kangas and Kitenge (traditional women's clothing). You can have one tailor made for you within a day or so! Other activities that can be attended: The traditional Pare dancing or brewing and drinking of local beer (dengelua) together with the people from Same.
